API Keys

Keys are stored in your browser only — never sent to our servers. One key works across all workspaces.

OpenAI API Key (required for all AI features)

Anthropic API Key (optional — Claude for Phase 2 structuring)

Getting Started

Follow these steps to set up your workspace for the first time.

Get your API key

All AI tools require an API key from the AI provider. For PDF & Image extraction, Gemini is strongly recommended (free tier available). For translation, any supported model works well.

Add your API key to the platform

Go to Settings → API Keys and paste your key. Keys are stored only in your browser — never on our servers.

Create your first Translation Memory

A Translation Memory saves your confirmed translations so the platform learns your terminology over time. Create a TM, then import your existing translations in CSV format for faster processing.

Write a prompt for each tool

Prompts tell the AI how to translate — formally or casually, legal or medical, which terms to preserve. Go to Settings → Prompts and create one for your main document type. The PDF & Image tool has a built-in prompt — all other tools need their own.

Upload your first file

Go to All Files and upload a document. The platform supports PDF, images (JPG, PNG, WebP, TIFF), DOCX, TXT, SRT, MP3, MP4, WAV, and more. Each file type opens in the right tool automatically.

Choose your tool and start

Use this guide to pick the right tool for each file type:

● Scanned document or photo → PDF & Image Translator
● DOCX file with full control → Doc Translator
● Multiple files at once → Batch Translate or Batch Transcribe
● Quick text or daily help → TransilaPro (coming soon)
